The Sony Image Data Converter interface goes away from professional suites so that its color scheme is bright and in our opinion, does not pay enough attention to the workflow. Like most of the Sony software products, it is considered slow and probably quick after thinking.
Using auto and manual noise reduction settings, it has improved how they improved in terms of reducing the word from what I can see with the test results against the old 3.1 version. I see the Mac users reporting significantly better performance on Snow Leopard. I tried it under Win 7 and did not actually pay any attention to the speed before and after the update.
